Transitioning to Mommyhood

Kevin is back in Vienna and Jameson and I are still in Portland. I can totally understand why the multi-generational household is a popular model in many countries. It has made becoming a momma so much easier. My parents are there helping all the time. My dad gets home from work and immediately wants to hold Jameson and make silly faces at him, my mom cooks dinner every night, and comes home for lunch often. They even took over care of the dogs, so I could concentrate on the baby. The dogs are very interested in Jameson, they constantly want to smother him with kisses, however Jameson doesn't really like dog kisses.

I am pleasantly surprised how easy Jameson has been so far. He is incredibly content I have heard him truly cry only a few times. The first time was at his two week appointment when he was getting his blood drawn. He loves baths, eating and sleeping.

He got to meet his cousins for the first time a couple days ago, and I got some really cute pictures.

I am going to try and blog more frequently, but don't hold me to it.

Hey Aimee! I found your blog on Sarah's page. It will be fun to keep track of Jameson's growth through your blog when you have the time anyways. Hope all is well with you guys!!

Hi Aimee, I thought I had written you before - but no comment appeared... weird. Anyway, I am glad you're a fellow blogger!

Hope you're doing well. I love seeing the updated pictures of your little guy! :) Any tips that you are learning on the beginning of motherhood - pass it on!

Have a good day,
