Jameson's Do or Don't?

I don't know if many of you are familiar with Glamour Magazine's "Do or Don't" section, but I put Jameson into a trend today that I am not entirely sure of, however, for practicality's sake feel that it's a DO. I bought Jameson "boy tights." Yes, you heard correctly. I bought him a pair of black/gray striped tights from H&M. This is not the only store you can buy the boy tights at here in Vienna, but they are the cheapest (shh! don't tell him that). Do they even sell "boy tights" in the states? I know there are "baby legs" leg warmers, but I think these are cooler. I found them in the boy section next to the spiderman underwear and the undershirts. They had lots of different colors, all "manly" colors, and along with the striped tights they had argyle ones too.

Here is my reasoning for them being a DO. 1) He has long legs, therefore pants ride up and the socks ride down, and his calves get cold. 2) He has taken to pulling his socks off, its a fun new game. 3) It increases his wardrobe since he can "rock" the onesie with them. 4) As Kevin pointed out, we are in Europe, and gender neutral is how most babies dress. 5) We are outside constantly, and they add a layer under a pair of pants too.

So, you tell me, is it a Do or a Don't? Would you put your son in tights? If not, why? Am I going to scar him for life?

Hahaha, I'm sorry that is just hilarious! I couldn't help but laugh when I saw Jameson in his tights and tux onesie(the red sneakers are a nice touch). And by the look of the pictures, he can't help but laugh too. Sorry I'm not more help. lol

Whoa! I just made the third picture bigger..."Things I Want My Daughters To Know"!! Did you plan that? lol
I'm sorry, I really am. I don't mean to make fun of either of you (at least not in an offensive way). Jameson is adorable.

Nope, didn't plan it, thats just one of the books he enjoyed pulling off the shelf. I am not offended. Like I said, practicality rules in this house. :)

The tux onsie..."Don't"...red shoes...."DO!!"...the tights, well I think they're Don't in public unless under clothes and for practicalities sake a do at home :) Does Jameo have books to send to Auntie? :)

We don't like it he looks like bones" WHAT? "Right there" The stripes? "Yes, he should be colorful"....they voted for blue or rainbow tights and then they would be ok, but only because it's cold :)

The Tux onesie was a gift, and he is almost too big for it, so he needed to get use out of it. I like it! Its better than a boring white one. Rainbow tights are not considered "manly" colors, sorry 2nd grade.

Sorry about that, it didn't work the way I wanted it to.

So, this is why seeing the onesie made me laugh: it reminded me of this guy I know http://i38.tinypic.com/33c68ac.jpg

He looks like he is about to instruct an aerobics video! I love it!!! I think they are super practical, as per your explanation of them, so I vote "DO"!

Patti- That's what my brother said, but in not as nice a way. He said something about me turning him into the next Richard Simmons. Ha ha.

Just to let everyone know, he doesn't LEAVE the house like this. His tights stay under his clothes.

How funny....only because it does not fit the 'normal' stereotype of boys clothing (here in the states). As a parent, you do EVERYTHING you can to keep your children clothed (ty refuses to wear socks and shoes) and warm. So, girl GO FOR IT! And to answer the question if I would dress Ty in tights...no. Because, we have hard floors and we are trying to encourage Ty to crawl; with tights, he would slide all over the place. Plus he likes his bare feet on the floor when cruising in his walker.
